In addition, the proposed improvements will replace equipment that has reached its obsolescence and improve safety, efficiency, and add redundancy in some areas. The major project scope items are summarized below: 1. Aeration Basins: a. Replace seventy-two (72) 3-inch to 12-inch air control valves b. Re-route signal and control wiring to new control panel c. Replacement of seven (7) buried 12-inch plug valves 2. Return Activated Sludge (RAS) Pump Station a. Installation of an additional RAS pump for redundancy b. Install new VFDs for all pumps c. Replace pump seal water assembly to mechanical seals 3. Trident Filters a. Replace existing piping b. Replace filter media, grating, and mesh c. Replace six magnetic d.
