***As of July 16,2024 The project was awarded to Adleta Construction Inc. for $299,991.66 These specifications are intended to describe various types of concrete work necessary to replace or restore damaged or broken curbs, sidewalks or driveway aprons, or other concrete structures in the City of Fairfield. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, or a Certified Check for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as stated in the Notice to Bidders. When the agreement is executed, the Bonds of the remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The Bid Bond of the Successful bidder will be retained until Payment Bond and Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A Performance bond and a Payment Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. Bid prices must be firm for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening date. The City of Fairfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to correct or waive irregularities in the bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the City to do so.
