Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the full reconstruction of about 6,300 feet of Village streets. This includes replacement of water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and the addition of an 8-foot wide mixed use trail. Other items include curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt pavement, and turf restoration. Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and per the Contract Documents prepared by CBS Squared Inc. identified as "Grant and Piety Street Improvements". No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of the bid opening to CBS Squared, Inc., ATTN: Kristi Lentz, 770 Technology Way, Suite 1A, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Village of Ellsworth reserves the right to retain the deposits of the two (2) lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 61 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 61 Days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and sub -contractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part with federal funds in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. If the requirements of Davis Bacon, the State of Wisconsin and the Contract requirements conflict with regard to wages, the highest of the three shall apply.
