This project consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to: Remove and replace the existing intercom system; and upgrade various door locks and security surveillance cameras as shown on the drawings and described in the technical specifications. Project Site is the St. Bernard Parish Jail Complex located at 1900 Paris Road, Chalmette, Louisiana 70043. Each bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid; and the bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall also be required to furnish payment and performance bonds per guidelines provided in the Contract Documents and in accordance with LA RS 38:2241 and LA RS 38:2216. The bid bond must be furnished in accordance with the requirements of LA RS 38:2218. The award of contract shall be made within 45 calendar days after bid opening to the lowest qualified bidder whose bid complies with all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. In certified check, company, or cashier's check payable to the Engineer. In accordance with LA RS 38:2212 (D), deposits on the first set of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents within ten days after receipt of bids; deposits on any additional sets will be refunded less the actual costs of reproduction.
