As of June 7, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The Project is expected to be awarded on June 20, 2024 during the Council Meeting. The Bituminous Paving Portion Includes Ada Curb Ramps, Milling, Scratch and Wearing Courses on 8 Streets and the Asphalt Seal Coat and Fog Seal on 9 Streets Throughout the Borough. Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Surety Bond in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Price of the Bid. The Borough Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Proposals and to Make Such an Award as Most Advantageous to the Borough. The paving work will consist of bituminous milling, base repair (if needed), bituminous binder leveling or scratch course, wearing course, bituminous and concrete curbs, and curb ramps. The sealing work will consist either of an asphalt fog seal over existing bituminous pavement or an asphalt seal coat and asphalt fog seal over existing bituminous pavement as described in the Scope of Work section of the specifications. All material and workmanship shall be in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408, latest edition as outlined below, unless otherwise noted. The work to be performed under this Contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date of “Written Notice to Proceed” and completed by August 31, 2024 This Scope of Work division of the Specifications is applicable to all work contemplated.
