The University is seeking a contractor with expertise in lighting systems for a project at the Utah Tech University Greater Zion Stadium. The criteria involve foot-candle levels, LED fixtures, glare reduction, a 10-year warranty, and environmental efficiency. The main objectives are energy efficiency, environmental light management, and ensuring consistent light levels for player safety and spectator experience. The project may not exceed the budget of $560,000 1. Life Cycle Cost: To reduce the operating budget, the installed lighting system shall be energy efficient and cost-effective to operate. 2. Environmental Light Control and Efficiency: It is a goal of this project to minimize spill light and glare and to promote effective and efficient usage through upgraded fixtures and lighting control systems. 3. Guaranteed Light Levels: The selection of appropriate light levels impacts the safety of the players and the enjoyment of spectators. Therefore, the lighting system shall be designed such that the NCAA National Broadcast light levels specified are guaranteed for a period of 25 years. All 3rd party testing shall be performed by a qualified and certified light level testing technician.
