Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Reading, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of June 25, 2024, This project has been awarded to Construction Masters Services LLC, with the awarded amount of $176,825.75. The project consists of furnishing all material, labor, equipment and appurtenances for variable depth milling, select base repair and overlay for section of Woodland Avenue, ADA Curb Ramps and double bituminous seal coat for Hill Road and Old Spies Church Road. The Proposal for the 2024 Street Improvements Project shall be accompanied by cash, money order, a certified or cashier's good faith check or a bond with corporate surety in the amount of at least 10% of the total Proposal. All Proposals shall be effective for sixty (60) days, and the project must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Common- wealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must also be pro- vided, as specified in the bid documents. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Proposed Bidders shall be PennDOT Prequalified per Specifications PennDOT (PennDOT Publication 408, Section 102.01). Escalator provisions relative to bituminous materials shall be in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 Section 110.04, latest edition except as specified in the Town- ship's Resolution for price adjustment of bituminous material for small quantities. Lower Alsace Township re- serves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favor- able to Lower Alsace Town- ship, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. Lower Alsace Township also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid. Lower Alsace Township here- by reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to accept or reject any and all Bids or portions thereof and to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints.
