Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hayward, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City desires to procure construction services that consists of, in general, installation of a new gateway monument sign on Jackson St and Silva Ave and performing other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, and as specified in the Standard Specifications or these Special Provisions. The new gateway sign consists of updated electrical work, a new walking path made with pavers, water feature, and other elements. Please refer to the bid specifications and plans for more information (Attachment F). The City desires to revitalize the corner of Jackson St and Silva Ave with a new monument sign. This monument sign is similar to the one constructed on Mission Boulevard to provide a sense of consistency throughout the City while still being an attractive, stand-alone piece with upgrades, such as lighting, water features, and landscaping. The goal of this project is to have a welcoming monument as a marker for residents and visitors for entering Downtown Hayward. The deliverables of this project include installation of a monument sign, along with upgraded lighting and pavers.
