The addition or replacement of valves adjacent to the water main replacement areas, as directed by the Engineer, should be anticipated. o Separate pay items have been established for the valve replacements and additions outside of the water main replacement areas. o The type of valve (cut-in or insertion), and the need for line stops, shall be evaluated with the Engineer at each location in the field prior to ordering materials.
