Renovation of a municipal facility in Vermillion, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Scope of Work: Hydraulic upgrade/modernization of passenger elevator. The existing elevator is a 1965 Dover that services four floors. Description of Work Furnish labor, materials, tools, and supervision to perform the following work. - Replace control system: based on the latest control technology. - Replace power unit. Comprised of four major components the tank, valve, pump, and pump motor. New hydraulic oil, Replace hydraulic piping. - Replace fixtures in the cab and hall stations. - Infrared door obstruction device: - Door operation upgrade: 2 new motor driven devices for opening and closing of cab doors. Replacement of existing door operator with new upgrade operator. - Replace travel cable. - Provide as a separate line-item additional cost to refurbish the interior of the cab. All work shall be done in compliance with any state and local codes should they exist and in a professional manner in accordance with industry standards. The contractor is responsible for the disposal of discarded materials. Acceptance and approval of completed project by owner is required. Project Location: 211 W. Main Street Vermillion SD - Contractors will be required to furnish SDS forms for all hazardous materials brought into our facilities. - Contractors will be informed of any hazardous materials in the area where they will be working. SDS forms will be provided to them. - Contractors biding on a project must physically look at the job site with the owner representative or appointed contact person prior to submitting the bid. - Contractor must provide a detailed descriptive of upgrade proposal along with bid - Project completion date: March 1, 2025 Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Cashiers Check for 5% of the bid, or a Bid Bond for 10% of the bid. Such bid security shall be in compliance with Chapter 5-18B of the South Dakota Codified Laws. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the Owner will return bid security of all except the three lowest responsible BIDDERs. When the CONTRACT is awarded, the BONDs of the two remaining will be returned. The BOND of the successful BIDDER will be retained until the AGREEMENT, Performance Bond and Payment Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. Signatures of all parties shall be notarized No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Bid Bond of the three lowest Bidders for each contract will be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than sixty (60) days after the date of the Bid The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formalities therein and rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received.
