Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Fulton, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
As of October 18, 2024 project was awarded to Mid-Missouri Earth Movers, LLC, but awarded amount is not available. Asbestos inspection at 5 residential structures, asbestos removal at 28 residential structures, and demolition at 36 residential structures The asbestos inspections for the non-hazarded structures to be demolished have already been completed; these reports are available to bidders. The city is bidding asbestos removal, asbestos inspections during demolition on the hazardous structures, and demolition together. The asbestos inspector must be licensed. The demolition contractor must be licensed for asbestos removal, or must partner with a licensed asbestos contractor. The asbestos inspector cannot also be the asbestos abatement contractor. After the removal of the asbestos by the licensed asbestos contractor, the demolition contractor would complete demolition of the structure. The city reserves the right to waiveany informality or reject any or all bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid amount. This can be secured by a bid bond or certified check and must be included with the bid. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as the conditions of employment to be observed and Section 3-DBE, Segregated Facility, Section 109, E.O. 11246, and compliance with the OSHA 10 hour construction safety course. Documentation of compliance with E-Verify is required. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of bid opening. Asbestos Inspection and Removal: Each of the properties contained with this bid have already been inspected by a Missouri licensed asbestos inspector; all reports are included in this bid packet. Twenty-Seven (27) of the thirty-six (36) addresses or thirty-five (35) properties contain asbestos, requiring proper removal and disposal. Many of these locations contain friable asbestos. Five of these properties will require an asbestos inspector on site during demolition because the structure was too hazardous to access the complete interior of the building during initial environmental testing. These properties include: 108 Saults St. 422 Penn Ave. 721 Vine St. 837 Jefferson St. 903 Jefferson St. MBE (10%), WBE (10%)
