A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the County of Schuylkill or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder naming the County of Schuylkill as oblige and acceptable surety in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. Money orders and personal money orders are not acceptable form of bid security. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all items or portions thereof or to waive any technicalities and informalities in the bid for the best interest of the Owner. Contractor and subcontractors must be PennDOT prequalified for the work they perform. The Contractor will be required to comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations ACT in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work.
