Renovation of an educational facility in Montreal, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Reference Number : 1851454 Deadline for receiving complaints: 2024-06-10 Interior redevelopment work on the M and S1 levels affecting the Hubert-Aquin (A), Judith-Jasmin (J) and Management Sciences (R) buildings. This work will be done in an occupied environment. The Contractor shall provide for the installation of zones during all work to control dust not otherwise classified as well as crystalline silica dust. The work is: Renovation of washrooms in Pavilion J on level S1 (J-S1360, J-S1370, J-S1010, J-S1015): renovation of washrooms J-S1360 and J-S1370 by redesigning them into an inclusive washroom and redevelopment of universally accessible washrooms in rooms J-S1010 and J-S1015. Demolition of existing finishes, demolition of the concrete slab on the ground and excavation for the replacement of basement plumbing, new concrete slabs, management of excavated material and fill, redevelopment of washrooms, new plumbing, mechanical, electrical, doors, frames and hardware, ceramic and finishing work. Renovation of corridors at Pavilion J on the S1 level (J-S1000, J-S1020, J-S1300, J-S1375, J-S1376, J-S1380 and J-S1900): corridor renovation work including floor painting, replacement of certain doors, frames and hardware. Renovation of the intersection on the M level at the junction of pavilions J, A and R: renovation of the area with the aim of modernizing and making this place more attractive to the community. Demolition of existing ceramics, demolition of ceilings, lighting, ventilation, chilled water piping, maintenance of ventilation during work and new ceramic flooring, addition of wood slat siding on existing brick partitions, new technical grid on the ceiling, lighting, ventilation, controls, cable trays, painting and built-in furniture. Construction of a temporary universal access ramp to maintain public traffic at all times. Renovation of the tunnel corridor between Pavilions A and J on Level M and renovation of the finishes of the skylights upper parts of the tunnel - Pavilions A and J Level M: minor renovation work including the replacement of lighting. Repair of 3 airlocks at the entrances 1495 St-Denis Street (room J-1795), 405 St-Catherine Street East (room J-R980) and 1400 Berri Street (room J-R180): demolition work and replacement of the ceramic floor and scraper grilles. Replacement of the partition, glass doors and hardware on the interior side. New gypsum ceilings, lighting and radiant heaters. Replacement of sprinkler heads as well as patching work on finishes and painting work. Spot patching of ceramics in pavilions A and J on levels R and M: spot replacements of ceramics in sections. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize the inconvenience to users and staff. Similarly, the outdoor courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor must ensure that users have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and uninterrupted climate. This includes all development work, all demolition, protection, skim and other work necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protection work, repairs and modifications to existing interior landscaping works. All jointing, repairing, drilling work required for the work herein is included. Concerning the following work, detailed in the plans and in the various sections of the mechanical specifications, the associated subcontractors must individually submit their price to the Contractor. The work components concerned below must therefore each have a separate subcontractor: Works concerned: 1- Testing, adjustment and balancing of ventilation-air conditioning, plumbing and heating-cooling systems and networks. Refer to the mechanical specifications for acceptable subcontractors for this discipline; 2- Insulation work for ventilation-air conditioning, plumbing and heating-cooling systems and networks; 3- Plumbing, natural gas and heating-cooling work; 4- Ventilation-air conditioning and refrigeration work; 5- Fire protection work; 6- Automatic regulation work. The Contractor will be fully responsible for controlling access to the site and the site. In situations where the Contractor must perform work elsewhere in the building or in cases where it must cut electromechanical services, it will do so outside the normal hours of occupancy by users, according to the authorizations of the Owner. Finally, the Contractor will be fully responsible for the safety and temporary protection of the site. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
