Reference Number 0000353794 Job Location: Hayden, Colorado The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) and accompanying specifications are to provide instructions and assistance in submitting a bid response to provide installation of both an Underground and Above-Ground Fuel Storage Tank Systems. Please see scope of work for further details. The objective is to have a fully executed contract by July 26, 2024 with construction completed by December 31, 2024. The general scope of this work includes, but is not limited to, the removal or abandonment of underground tanks, purchase and installation of items described below: Underground Storage Fuel Tank System removal or abandonment The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor and permitting as required for removal or abandonment of the existing UST system at the Routt County Hayden Shop at 38000 CR 53, Hayden CO 81639 and the disposal of items as needed. This includes the removal or abandonment of the following: - One approximately 10,000 gal diesel tank - One approximately 2,000 gal unleaded tank - Associated underground piping - Permitting and notices required as part of the work, including but notices with Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Oil and Public Safety. CDLE-OPS and the local fire authority. The existing 10,000 gallon and 2,000 gallon tanks along with the piping shall be disconnected, removed or abandoned in place. If required, contractor will be required to properly dispose of equipment and materials, including dispensers as needed. The area will be backfilled, compacted as specified, if needed. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Routt County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) reserves the right to reject any or all bid responses and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bid responses received, and to accept any portion of the bid response that is deemed to be in the best interest of Routt County. Contractor shall be responsible for removal and proper off-site disposal of all trash and debris associated with work for this contract. Contractor shall clear areas required for access to site and execution of the work. Remove and replace paving, curbs, slabs and fencing materials to accomplish the work. Contractor shall be responsible for removing any obstructions at least (2) feet beyond the limits of disturbance. Repair demolition performed in excess of that required at no additional cost, adjacent construction or surfaces damaged of soiled by demolition and over excavation work. Tank Removal Contractor shall verify that all electrical sources to tanks, pumps, dispensers and instruments have been de-energized and disconnected prior to commencing work. Prior to commencing tank removal operations, Owner will attempt to empty tanks as completely as possible with existing pumping system.
