New Jersey Rail Carrier Rail Freight Project: Phase 3. The Phase 3 Work Includes the Installation of New 136# Rail; Tie and Ballast Installation, Excavation, Clearing/grubbing, Drainage Feature Installation, Disposal of Ties and Soil, and Asphalt Paving of High Traffic Areas of the Yard; as Well as Other Miscellaneous Tasks Required for Track Installation/upgrades to Support Freight Rail Activities. Project: Phase 3, Funded by a Grant Through the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Following Work: New Jersey Rail Carrier ("Njrc") is Issuing This Request for Proposals Under an Agreement With the New Jersey Department of Transportation. This Agreement Represents Phase 3 of a Three-phased Program That Will Provide System Fluency and Efficiency by Adding Approximately 9,000 Feet of Track at the Njrc Facility in Kearny, Nj.
