The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for Carteret County to acquire as-needed comprehensive disaster recovery management services. The selected contractor, working closely with and at the direction of County staff, will assist in strategically managing the project development and administration of any and all local, state and federal disaster programs related to declared emergencies or disasters that occur during the term of this contract. Services provided in the development of such programs may include, but are not limited to the following. The selected vendor MUST be able to respond and provide disaster recovery management services within 48 hours of receiving the Activating Entity notice to proceed letter. The vendor must demonstrate in his or her bid documents the ability to provide adequate and properly trained personnel for this function within 48 hours of receiving a Notice to Proceed. Bid Date Notes: Bidders must submit one (1) signed original and three (3) copies, of the "Post Disaster Recovery Services" proposal. Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope or package and clearly marked: "Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Management Services". Hard copies must be received by the County The term of this contract agreement shall be for three (3) years with two additional one (1) year optional renewal periods. The County also reserves all rights to negotiate with any or all firms submitting qualifications. Small and minority businesses, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit qualifications and firms using subcontractors must solicit such firms in the subcontracting process The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
