Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) This Advance Contract Award Notice (the "ACAN") is issued by the City of Clarence-Rockland (the "City") to notify the supplier community that City intends to award a contract to a pre-identified supplier, believed to be the only one capable of satisfying the City's requirements. The ACAN is intended to allow other suppliers an opportunity to signal their interest in competing for the contract by submitting a statement of capabilities that clearly demonstrates the supplier's ability to satisfy the requirements. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the submission deadline stated in the ACAN, the City may proceed to award a contract to the pre-identified supplier. Any Statement(s) of Capability received by the submission deadline will be assessed by the city. If a Statement of Capability is accepted, the city may conduct a competitive procurement process for the requirements. If a Statement of Capability is rejected, the City will notify the supplier of the rejection and the reason for that decision.
