Renovation of a parking garage in Port Huron, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
A. Project comprises the City of Port Huron Parking Structure consisting of 2 supported levels at 100 McMorran Blvd., Port Huron, MI. The upper level includes an area for vehicle parking accessible to the public near the north end of the structure and several plazas to the south of the parking area. The lower level is separated into police and municipal parking. Access to the lower level is provided via vehicle ramps located at the north and south ends of the structure. B. Work consists of 2 supported tiers and slab-on-grade vehicle and pedestrian ramps. 1. Work includes, but is not limited to, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced cast-in-place concrete repairs (beam, ceiling, column, floor, and wall) repairs, post-tensioned reinforcing repairs, concrete waterproofing repairs (expansion joint replacement, crack and joint repairs, traffic coating membrane repairs, etc.), masonry facade repairs, and painting pavement markings. Refer to the List of Alternates and List of Unit Prices provided in Section 004310 "Procurement Form Supplements - Restoration" for detailed lists of alternate and base bid Work. Reference Number 0000353864 The Work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required for parking structure rehabilitation as shown on the Drawings or specified in the Project Manual. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose . The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates .
