Renovation of a laboratory facility in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Heating and Cooling mechanical equipment is in need of replacement for the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) laboratory located at 8100 E Lowry Blvd, Denver, CO 80230. The CDPHE laboratory provides critical testing services for various needs, and consequently cannot close during construction. So, contractors are going to have to work with the lab to schedule their work to ensure lab operations are not interrupted. This project is going to focus on the heating side, starting with the Steam Boiler, and then to the two Heating Hot Water Boilers, Chiller Water Pump VFDs, and the Cooling Towers Refurbishment, Chiller Replacement and then Cooling Optimization. At this time, funding for the Chilled water portions (VFDs, Cooling Tower Refurbishment, Chiller Replacement and Cooling Optimization) is not secured. The intention is to use this information for pricing and will be posted as a separate solicitation when funding becomes available. We do anticipate being able to replace the heating side components, however. - Replacement of the existing mechanical systems with new as defined in the Contract Documents.
