Reference Number 0000353951 Delivery Point: Denver, Colorado The City and County of Denver, hereinafter referred to as the City, desires to solicit bids relating to the purchase of replacing the existing sound hoist system and related components located in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Question Deadline 06/10/2024 at 9:00 AM MT Questions are submitted online No, Therefore, any questions regarding this IFB are encouraged and should be submitted in writing by email to: City Procurement Analyst: Jesse Sitzman E-Mail: jesse.sitzman@denvergov.org The City reserves the right to postpone or cancel this IFB, or reject all bids, if determined to be in the best interest of the City. Denver Arts & Venues is looking to replace the existing sound hoist system and related components located in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Additional support may be required for the new system in the form of a wideflanged I-beam in addition to the current operation grid. Distance from the grid to the stage floor is approximately 105 feet. Speaker arrays can be suspended between 14 and 49 feet above the stage during performances but can be raised to the ceiling or dropped to the stage floor for maintenance purposes. The following suggested equipment needs to be purchased: o 2 structural beams. o 4 one ton CM small case motors with soft limits and the appropriate standard connectors in use at the Ellie. 80 foot chain length. o 4 beam trolleys of good quality and minimum one ton capacity (higher capacity is recommended) o motor and control cable (with connectors) to reach from the motors to the motor distro located downstage left. The two beams would be installed approximately two to three feet downstage of the proscenium wall, upstage of an existing beam. The beam trolleys would be installed on this beam and the existing beam. The chain motors would be installed to these, MOTOR UP. These motors would attach to the bumper at the top of the speaker array. The chain motor power and control cable would be run along the beams and catwalks, then down though the existing cable paths in the stage left IT and amplifier closets to the motor distro downstage left. The motors will be controlled with the existing 8 channel motor pendant.
