The City of Lenoir will be receiving bids for 4,000 (+-) tons of S9.5B Asphalt Concrete each year delivered in place for a two-year period beginning July 1, 2024 and ending on June 30, 2026. Please submit the unit price per ton that will continue through the paving season of July 1, 2024 until June 30, 2026. Each bid submitted must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the City of Lenoir in the amount of 5% of the bidder's maximum price. Acceptable forms of bid security include certified check, bank money order, or Bid Bond issued by a surety company authorized to issue bonds or insurance policies in the jurisdiction of the project. Following awarding of the contract to the successful bidder and prior to the Notice to Proceed date, Performance and Payment Bonds in the amounts equal to 100% of the total bid will be required. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be issued by a surety company authorized to issue bonds or insurance policies in the jurisdiction of the project, and shall be delivered to the City of Lenoir with the executed Agreement. The City of Lenoir reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
