Saving Project...

Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Richmond, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Development of a central amenity space to include family and community oriented features such as an expanded playground, picnic areas, outdoor fitness equipment, and upgraded pathways. A new stormwater detention pond, improved ditches and a recirculating pump and a wet well will be built in the park to improve the stormwater management system for increased storage and treatment. The first phase, which cost $3.1 million, included a new pond, cascading waterfall, boardwalk, bridges and pathways. Second phase of Minoru Park improvements will cost $2.4M. TIMELINE: Planning process is underway. Priorities may be confirmed during a public engagement process and will be based on community input. A preferred concept plan may then follow and presented to council with next steps for consideration. Further update in late spring 2025, upon approvals.
