Perform tree and vegetation clearing in the specified City owned area known as Yates Avenue Basin. The City of Calumet City (the "City") is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to performed tree and vegetation clearing of the specified City-owned area as detailed in Exhibit 1. If selected, the contractor would be required to enter into a contract Agreement with the City to complete the work and would be required to provide a one (1) year written warranty for labor, materials, equipment, and workmanship. To be considered, contractors must submit a completed bid proposal form, certificate of liability insurance (COI), bid bond and all other requested information with their proposal packet. This contract is subject to the terms and conditions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/. The Prevailing Wages for Cook County can be found electronically. No questions will be accepted after close of business on June 12th, 2024. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without the consent of the City of Calumet City for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the executed Contract and proceed with the work. The City of Calumet City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive or not waive any informality in the proposals, and to accept any proposal which it deems most favorable to the City. If accepted, this letter, proposal quotation, and the RFP specifications and special provisions shall be made part of the Contract between the Contractor and the City of Calumet City.
