Description of Work: This Work Consists of: o Removing Existing Curb in Intermittent Locations Including Adjoining Pavement, Sod and Embankment Necessary for Forming. A 2' Width of Pavement and a 3' Width of Embankment Per Foot of Curb is Anticipated to Be Removed in the Quantities Shown. o Constructing: O Type E4 Curb in Accordance With Mdot Standard Plan R-30-g in All Main Street (M-82 East/west) Locations. O Type C2 in Accordance With Mdot Standard Plan R-30-g in All Stewart Street (M-82 North/south) Locations Apart From the Fairground Driveway Opening. O a Detail L Concrete Driveway Opening in Accordance With Mdot Standard Plan R-29-j at the South Fairground Driveway Opening. o Restoring: O Embankment Behind Curb O Restoring With 4" Minimum Topsoil, Seed, Mulch, and Fertilizer Behind the New Curb O Placing Hma Hand Patch With Compaction in 2" Lifts in Front of the New Curb o Providing Single Lane Closures Maintained by Shifts and Shoulder Closures in Accordance With the Attached Details With a Maximum Length of 1600' to Perform the Work. Do Not Place Any Traffic Control Within 75' of the Railroad Track. Curb Removal Limits and Top of Curb Grades Will Be Staked by Others. Work Shall Be Performed in Accordance With Mdots 2012 Standard Specifications for Construction. Coordination Clause: the Contractor is Advised That Other Projects in the Vicinity May Be Under Construction During the Life of This Contract.
