Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Owensboro, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,000-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work consists of a new one story, 2000 square foot office facility with reception room, large work room, private offices, toilets, mechanical and custodial rooms. The building is slab-on-grade with wood framed walls. Materials include fiber-cement siding, asphalt shingles, double hung windows, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood solid core doors, gypsum board, vinyl composition tile and acoustical lay-in ceiling panels. Mechanical and electrical work shall include plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and power. Site work shall include site grading and paving, and utility connections. An additive alternate will be taken for a range upgrade to the work space kitchenette. Estimated Length of Project: 180 (Substantial Completion) + 30 (Final Completion). No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business by the Kentucky Secretary of State and the Kentucky Department of Insurance within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served.
