Saving Project...

Site work for a recreation facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility.

As of August 1,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to install cast-in-place replaceable tactile warning strips on both sides of the Zooline Railroad track at twelve (12) locations where the pedestrian path intersects with the track. The awarded contractor shall supply all tools and products to perform the work. The contractor shall cut, remove and recycle existing asphalt and concrete as required, form and pour 6" thick concrete slab over compacted granular fill and install warning strips per manufacturer details and specifications. Installation shall meet ADA guidelines for detectable warning surfaces at rail crossings and contractor shall warranty the work for a period of five (5) years, based on normal wear and tear for small vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
