The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following: CONTRACT 1 - Road Reconditioning for approximately 0.6 miles Rural Road Section. Proposed work consists of pulverizing existing road base, new road base, ditching, new culverts, erosion control and restoration. Proposed road base consists of 8" crushed aggregate base with geogrid. Work to be completed in 2024. CONTRACT 2 - Paving approximately 0.62 miles road length with Double Chip & Seal. Work shall be completed in 2025. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner.
