2025-27 Cl Feeder/trunk Main Renewal Program. Cast Iron (Cl replacement) at three (3) specific site covering a total distance of roughly 3.0 kilometers. These Cl feeder/trunk mains have pipe sizes of 400 mm and 600 mm and are located under arterial or collection roads. 1. Winnipeg Street from South Railway Street to College Avenue, except for the section between 13th Avenue and 14th Avenue. The cast iron pipe on this street was installed in 1913, 1924 or 1929 and has a size of 600 mm. The two pipe sections are 1,400 m long in total. 2. College Avenue from Winnipeg Street to Elliot Street. The cast iron pipe on this street was installed in 1913 or 1931 and has a total length of 625 m. The pipe is 400 mm in size. 3. Saskatchewan Drive from Albert Street to Elphinstone Street. The pipe section was installed in 1913. The pipeline has a nominal diameter of 600 mm and a total pipe length of approximately 970 m. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. Construction of the College Ave Cast Iron Feeder Main Rehabilitation has been underway. Winnipeg Street between 9th Avenue and Victoria Avenue is scheduled for pavement in 2026. The construction tender may be released in January 2026. Saskatchewan Drive is already included in the Saskatchewan Drive Corridor Improvement project. However, the work on this location was recently postponed to 2030. Due to the change, the cast iron pipe on this street is decided to be renewed separately in 2027. This schedule may further be changed if the Improvement project is moved ahead of 2030. *Budget is unreleased.
