Reference Number 0000271694 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/06/19 05:00:00 PM CST SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan. The Scope of Work is to provide SaskPower with structure maintenance to 308 structures on the C1B transmission line which includes hardware tightening, shield wire insulator removal, damper replacement, ground wire maintenance, guy guard replacement and other tasks to extend asset life. The Contractor shall be familiar with and comply with all applicable Laws. The Contractor shall ensure that all Contractor and Subcontractor personnel comply with the conditions of all environmental statutory/regulatory approvals, permits, licenses and authorizations issued for the project that pertain to the Contractor's Work specifications. The Contractor shall obtain any further environmental approvals, permits, licenses and/or authorizations, as required by any Laws. The Contractor must review and understand their environmental responsibilities prior to starting any Work. Approval to proceed by SaskPower and/or Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment shall in no way absolve the Contractor of complying with applicable environmental Laws. In the event of a conflict between any Law, authorization, permit or code of practice, the more stringent environmental requirements shall apply. The Contractor is responsible to ensure all necessary environmental permits are in place before Work begins. SaskPower may have obtained applicable environmental permits as part of the screening process; however, responsibility to ensure that all necessary environmental permits are in place remains solely with the Contractor. Sask Power will provide the Contractor with appropriate copies of all environmental permits and approvals received from regulatory agencies, as obtained by SaskPower. The Contractor may contact SaskPower to clarify permit conditions if any. All regulatory requirements, conditions and/or Site-specific environmental mitigation measures and instructions shall be adhered to by the Contractor and Subcontractor(s), as applicable. The Contractor shall be responsible to supply, install and remove any necessary environmental protection measures outlined by any regulatory authority or by SaskPower. The Contractor shall always keep a copy of all required environmental permits on Site. The Contractor's construction foreman and each crew supervisor shall have access to the permits on Site Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
