Renovation of an educational facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This MIND IT Network Modernization project has two separate contracts; one for MIND Building 25, and one for MIND Building 26. Bid Documents are also specific to each building/contract. Building 25 Scope of Work: Infrastructure upgrade in the MIND Institute Clinic & Resource Center Building (Building 25). Work to existing telecom rooms will upgrade electrical, IT, and mechanical systems. This includes but is not limited to relocating existing equipment racks, adding new racks, new UPS, new WAPs & cabling, receptacles, light fixtures, mini power zones, and power distribution units. New HVAC system installation and associated piping, as well as ceiling demolition are also included as part of this project. Work does not impact existing fire separation walls. Estimated Construction Cost: $1.5M Building 26 Scope of Work: Infrastructure upgrade in the MIND Institute Laboratory (Building 26). Estimated Construction Cost: $1.1M The following contractors have been prequalified to submit bids for both contracts (Building 25 and Building 26), which will be awarded to the Best Value Bidder(s) in each project: - Cameron Builders - Clark/Sullivan - Deacon Construction - Dome Construction - Mar Con Builders - Streamline Construction Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) The successful bidder will be required to have the following California contractor's license at the time of the bid opening: "B" - General Building. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wages at the location of the work. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. Please contact hs-contracts@ucdavis.edu for further information. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
