The project includes resurfacing existing asphalt roadways mainly located within residential subdivisions. Work includes, but is not limited to, pavement surface removal, intermittent curb and gutter removal and replacement, full-depth pavement patching, aggregate shoulders, resurfacing with hot-mix asphalt level binder and surface courses, landscape restoration, pavement markings, traffic control and protection, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the Plans. The net length of the project is 14,784feet (2.80 miles). The Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without consent of the Village of Oak Brook for a period of ninety(90) days after the scheduled time of opening bids. Bidders are advised of the following requirements of this contract: 1) Illinois Prevailing Wage; 2) 5% Bid Security with the bid submittal; 3) 100% Performance and Labor &Material Bonds; 4) Adherence to Public Act 30 ILCS 570Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works projects. Prequalification of Bidders in accordance with the applicable parts of IDOT Bureau of Local Roads and Streets Recurring Special Provision "Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals" (Check Sheet LRS 6) will be required of all bidders on this proposal.
