Responses to Requests for Clarification 6/18/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (CT) A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the proposal price must accompany proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will constitute a non-responsive proposal which will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, to re-advertise for new Proposals or to proceed in any manner as may be considered in the best interest of the City. Term The term of this agreement is for 90 days after signed by the City Manager or designee and issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The City of Portland is seeking a qualified HVAC contractor to facilitate the desired modifications and improvementsto the existing HVAC system at the Animal Care Services Kennel, which islocated at 1109 Moore Ave. Portland, TX 78374. The overall goal of the project is to improve the existing HVAC system so that the unit is more responsive to year around temperature fluctuations and provides a comfortable environment. The scope ofservicesin thissection describesthe required services to be provided by the Contractor during the term of the Contract. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to perform the services required under the contract which includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Conditioning of the existing Animal Care Services Kennel through the install/upgrade of existing building components for thermal performance and new mechanical systems in accordance with the Construction plans and Technical Specifications for this project. 2. Work includes concrete foundation, concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall construction, aluminum fencing gate, application of thermal/acoustic insulation at roof interior, protection of existing finished surfaces, replacement of existing overhead coiling doors, provision, and installation of mechanicalsystems(cooling/exhaust), electrical and plumbing work, and roof modification to accommodate the new exhaust fan. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for providing windstorm inspection and certification on all elements of roof work.
