On - Call Materials Testing & Special Inspection Services The City of Calabasas, Public Works Department (CITY) utilizes professional engineering CONSULTANTS to perform various services for design, construction, plan checking, materials testing, and inspection activities. The CITY is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide On-Call Materials, Geological, Geotechnical, and Environmental Testing and Inspection Services, along with Special Inspection Services for various improvement projects in the CITY. The CITY intends to award a contract to one or more CONSULTANT to provide the requested services for a three-year term with two (2) one (1) year optional extensions to be exercised at the sole discretion of the CITY. The Department seeks to retain qualified firms for the purpose of providing these services for the CITY's Capital Improvement Program and various other improvement projects, on an as-needed, on-call basis. General Scope of Work CONSULTANT shall provide special inspection, materials inspection, and/or testing services, including, but not limited to: soil and asphalt compaction testing with a nuclear gauge; moisture/density curves; asphaltic concrete services; concrete compression tests and cylinder storage; weldment testing; coring services; and other related services as may be required by the CITY. Services shall be provided by CONSULTANT on projects as authorized by the CITY. CONSULTANT shall, in the performance of this Agreement, maintain close communications with the CITY Project Manager and/or their representative. No services shall be performed on any specific project until the CITY has issued a Request for Services to CONSULTANT for that particular project. CONSULTANT shall prepare separate invoices, for services rendered, for each specific project authorized by the CITY. The term of services rendered shall end three calendar years from the date the Agreement is approved by City Council, unless extended by an Amendment.
