The DCSD is an equal opportunity employer. The DCSD has issued this Invitation to Bid for the purpose and intent of obtaining responses from licensed, qualified firms to provide annual inspection of all fire extinguishers and for recharging and/or servicing fire extinguishers on an as needed basis. The service is to be conducted in accordance with the NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. This contract, if award is made, will consist of annual inspection and testing of the fire extinguishers at all of Douglas County School District's schools and facilities. The contract shall also consist of recharging and/or servicing fire extinguishers on an as needed basis. The Douglas County School District would like for this project to be completed by July 31, 2024. If this deadline cannot be met, given the schedule outlined on page 5 of this Invitation to Bid, notation must be made on the Respondent Pricing Sheet. The contract period shall be from the date of award until June 30, 2025. Douglas County School District reserves the right to renew the contract beyond the original contract period. Please note that Georgia law only allows agencies to commit funds for a length not to exceed 12 months. An additional renewal will be considered optional at Douglas County School District's discretion.
