The Department of Transportation (DOT), Airports Division seeks the services of qualified electrical engineering firms to provide "Emergency Generator Modifications, Kahului Airport. The project scope includes providing design services to provide additional generator capacity to handle 100% of the electrical load for the Kahului Airport and to provide redundancy of emergency power. Additionally, the project scope will include design services to replace and expand the existing electrical Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System (SCADA) which will allow remote monitoring and control of the high and medium voltage breakers at various airport vaults. It is also expected that the consultant will provide all initial project scoping services including designs, construction administration, and to the end of construction and drafting of the as-builts drawings for the record. These services are anticipated to be immediately required and will have a design contract completion time of approximately three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be a Fixed-Price contract in accordance with HAR 3-122-136, with an overall contract time of performance of 5 years. The PDF file shall be named as follows: "AM1034-12R_(DS)_RFQ_Year.Month.Day_FirmName" and e-mailed to dot.air.engineering@hawaii.gov with the Year.Month.Day portion of the file name being in two digit format (example: 13.09.01). The subject line of the email shall be the same as the PDF file name to ensure that responses from all interested individuals or firms are grouped together when retrieving the emails. The DOT will not be responsible for responses not being retrieved and evaluated for this project due to individuals or firms not having the correct email subject line.
