The Town of Fort Mill is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to remove, dispose of existing roofing material and install a new cedar shingle roof. Scope of Work The Town of Fort Mill is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to remove, dispose of existing roofing material and install a new cedar shingle roof. The bidder who is awarded the job will be responsible for all cost associated with obtaining a Town of Fort Mill Business Licenses and all Town of Fort Mill permits. Due to this building being in our historic district all products will need to be like for like with the existing products. Requirements: Remove and dispose of existing roofing materials and re-nail any loose boards. Protect the entire site from damage, including lawn and landscaping. Inspect roof substrate for soft or rotten wood and replace if needed. Install felt underlayment to protect all exposed roof surfaces with approved fasteners. Install Cedar shingles and ridge shingles. Clean up and haul off debris upon completion. Run magnet over entire site to ensure the removal of nails. All work must be completed in a timely manner.
