The Joanne Way Pump Station is located off Meisel Avenue, in the Town- ship of Springfield, NJ, on property identified as Block 908, Lot 16. The prin- cipal work under this project includes, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation of the existing Joanne Way Pumping Station. Existing pumps and motors will be replaced with vertical axial flow impeller lineshaft pumps and motors, along with pump controls. Accessory pump station equipment including a sump pump and controls, new electric service, light fixtures, and switchgear to an existing generator is included in the project. Other improvements include repaving driveway, replacement of chain link fence, man door and access lad- der; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Greenman-Pedersen, Consulting Engineers - Surveyors - Plan- ners - Landscape Architects, 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, New Jersey. This project is Federally funded through the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act. Contractor must follow federal guidelines for SLFRF and must com- ply with all federal, state, and local public health and environmental laws or regulations. Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD, UNION COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Con- sent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. PROPOSALS MUST BE MADE UPON THE BLANK FORMS PRO- VIDED AND SUBMITTED IN THE BOUND BOOK, WHICH SHALL BE LEFT WHOLE AND INTACT IN EVERY RESPECT. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The Mayor and Township Committee of the TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD reserves the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid. Pursuant to project funding requirements, this project must be completed and closed out on or before December 31, 2025.
