The City of Riverside ("City") is seeking a qualified entity or individual ("Company" or "Design-Build Entity") to provide design-build services for the Fairmount Park Pedestrian Circulation and Fencing project located at 2601 Fairmount Boulevard, Riverside, California 92501. The City anticipates selecting one firm to perform the services. The City is seeking design and build services for new fencing and pedestrian walkways at Fairmount Park. Any questions pertaining to this Request for Proposals should be directed to the Question Deadline 07/08/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% License Requirements C-13 or C-8 or C27 BASE BID ITEM B-1: GOLF COURSE FENCING BASE BID ITEM B-2: CONCRETE PAVEMENT FOR PEDESTRIAN CIRCULATION Provide ADA accessible paths; o Avoid the removal of large/mature trees, or cutting or impacting roots. Aim to route the paths outside the dripline of trees. A tree inventory map is provided in Exhibit D. GIS data can be provided to design-build entity after project award. o For every tree removal, two (2) trees of the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department (PRCSD) representative's choice are to be planted in select locations. o Minimize grading, earthwork and major modifications to existing infrastructure o Pedestrian paths shall be minimum 2' but ideally 5' from curb/roadway. o Sleeve all pipe or wire bundle carried under concrete paving. Where lines are encountered during preparation work for sidewalk, lines can be left in place and sleeved for protection. (see Exhibit H: Technical Specifications) o Match scoring pattern, color and finish used in sidewalks near Fairmount Park Rose Garden, near the corner of Dexter Drive and Redwood Drive, shown in detail D in Exhibit G. Base Bid Item B-1: Construction of golf course fencing The scope of work for this bid item shall include all word as needed to replace existing chain link fence on the eastern and southeastern sides of the golf course with wrought iron fencing as described in Technical Specification Section 05520 (Exhibit H) and Standard Details (Exhibit G) within this RFP. The Work shall generally consist of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: o Submittals, including shop drawings, materials list and work schedule; o Excavation, backfill and compaction; o Clear and grub, tree protection; o Demolition and disposal of existing chain link fence including removal of post footings; o Provision of approved shoring, safety lights and barricades as may be required by site conditions and as specified; o Disposal of excess soil excavated for footings and fencing as directed by the Park Projects Inspector; o Installation of new fencing per Technical Specifications Section 05520 o Repair of all damage to all existing improvements caused by this Work; o Testing and clean-up; and, o Record drawings and guarantees. Base Bid Item B-2: Construction of concrete pavement for pedestrian circulation The scope of work for this bid item shall include all work as needed to provide a pedestrian circulation path outside the golf course and along Dexter Drive from the Water Buffalo to Izaak Walton as shown on the Conceptual Site Plan (Exhibit F) and described in Technical Specification (Exhibit H) and Standard Details (Exhibit G) within this RFP. All work must be completed by March 31, 2026
