Reference Number 0000354274 the City of Oceanside (City) is soliciting proposals for As Needed Metal Fabrication Services for Fiscal Years 2024-25, 2025-26, 2026-27 with an option for two, one-year renewals. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to develop a fair and reasonable price guarantee for quality and prompt, reliable fabrication services from the selected vendor. The City reserves the right to request new proposals for services at any time. Scope of Work Successful vendors must have the ability to perform a minimum of three (3) or more Services listed below: Provide fabrication services as-needed for Water Utilities Facilities. Cut, fit and assemble material as required by City staff for welding (by 3rd party or City staff) in flat, vertical and horizontal positions. Provide reverse engineering of products made of a combination of materials within manufacturer specs, including product consultation and selection assistance, repair and servicing, and the ability to troubleshoot when custom retrofitting is needed. Supervise, plan, and perform work-related fabrication of metal structures and repairs on water plant machinery and equipment using electric arc and gas welding equipment. Read and produce technical drawings to fabricate multiple parts and/or to create complete assemblies. Work with the types of metals needed for fabrication services and repairs, including, but not limited to: 316 and 304 Stainless Steel Cast steel Cold Rolled Steel Hardened Steel Chrome Moly Steel 6061 Aluminum Other exotic metals as required, which includes but is not limited to, high performance alloys, duplo stainless steel and titanium. Perform processes such as welding, cutting, drilling, forming, grinding, and/or shaping of materials performed by machine or hand tools. Possess the ability to custom fabricate and manufacture water plant equipment including, but not limited to, machinery guards, auger tubs and screws, and belly pans. All vendors are required to provide all equipment, materials and labor to complete any project or job assignment, including appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
