Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Central City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the expansion of a parking garage and warehouse / distribution facility.
This public improvement generally consists of the construction of a 24' x 60' addition to the shop at Pinicon Ridge Park. Address: 4732 Horseshoe Falls Rd. Central City Ia. 52214. SCOPE OF WORK: Construct a 24' x 60' a metal building addition to the existing 200' x 60' metal shop building. The new building will be constructed on concrete footings, with concrete floors, framed walls, metal exterior siding, insulated walls and interior liner panels. The addition is to match the existing shop colors and construction. The addition will have an overhead garage door on each end and a walk-in door on the south side. There will be garage door openers for doors that will need to be wired with openers. The other electric will include, lights and outlets. The addition will have a shed roof style truss roof. The contractor will be responsible to obtain a building permit from the Linn County Planning & Zoning. There will be NO COST for this permit. ESTIMATED COST: $165,000.00 Prices quoted shall be guaranteed for a period of sixty (60) days after date of the bid. Linn County and its Conservation Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities in any bid or to make award in the best interest of the County. A report will be prepared with the bid results and for the Conservation Board, who will act on the results at the public meeting on Monday, October 24th, 2022, at 12:00 Noon, at the Linn County Conservation Board Headquarters. The contractor must have a purchasing agent authorization letter and an exemption certificate from the public entity to present to the retailer, which specifies the construction project and will be available for that project only. Owner will issue an authorization letter and an exemption certificate to the contractor and/or subcontractors for the purchase or use of building materials, supplies, and equipment to be used on this project only. DO NOT INCLUDE SALES TAX ON YOUR BID FORM. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. It is the intent of the owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements. Those projects that are funded wholly with Linn County, Iowa funds and to which Linn County, Iowa, or its Conservation Board are signatory; the successful bidders must comply with all county regulations, safety and OSHA regulations, and affirmative action programs.
