TRANSPORTATION AND DELIVERY SERVICES OF DUCTILE IRON UTILITY POLES The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide transportation and delivery services of ductile iron utility poles for the City of Lake Worth Beach. The objective of the IFB and subsequent contracting activity is to secure the services of an experienced CONTRACTOR who is capable of efficiently providing delivery services in a timely and cost-effective manner. The CONTRACTOR must be capable of assembling, directing, and managing the delivery service and provide a work force that can start operations within one (1) week of notification of an upcoming scheduled delivery. Time is of the essence and any bid received after the time, whether by mail or otherwise shall be rejected by the City. The time of receipt shall be determined by the time clock located in the Financial Services Office . Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope, marked with the bid number, title, date, and hour bids are scheduled to be received. The City offices have limited access to the public at this time. Courier deliveries SHALL NOT require signature for the receipt. Bidders may deliver bids directly to City Hall during regular business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If bids are delivered in person, visitors shall ring the bell at the City Hall front entrance and wait for assistance or by contacting Procurement Division at (561) 586 1770 in advance. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that their bid is stamped by office personnel by the deadline indicated. All persons or entities responding to the IFB (hereafter "Bidders") are responsible for ensuring that their bid is received by the City at its' designated office address by the deadline indicated in the IFB. The City will in no way be responsible for delays caused by any occurrence. Bids shall not be submitted and will not be accepted in by e-mail, telephone, telegram, facsimile or any other City's address except as notified below. The time of receipt shall be determined by the time clock in Financial Services Department.
