The Project will provide a phased renovation of the Osterhout Concert Hall, Chamber Music Hall and all back of house spaces. Instructional spaces in the West Wing of the 1957 building is also included. Work includes replacement of interior finishes and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The project will also replace exterior doors and windows and will repair the exterior masonry envelope. An open courtyard shall be enclosed to create a new centralized mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems room. The project includes removal of hazardous materials and upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements. The construction value is estimated at approximately $119,960,000. The Fine Arts and Anderson Center, constructed in 1957 and expanded in 1965 and 1981, is a 304,239 GSF, four-story building that houses instructional and specialized spaces for Departments of Art and Design, Art History, Cinema, Music, and Theater. A comprehensive study completed in 2023 identified the need for extensive renovations and an addition to house new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a centralized location.
