The purpose and intent of this Invitation for Bid are to establish a firm-fixed-price contract with one qualified Contractor(s) to create a total of two pad-ready sites in the New London Business Park. This solicitation is issued by the Bedford County Economic Development Authority on behalf of the Bedford County Board of Supervisors, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Period of Contract: within 75 days of notice to proceed. Bidders are encouraged to examine the job sites. The work under this contract must be completed within 180 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. The Owner will accept an Irrevocable Letter of Credit for the full contract amount in place of the required bonds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Owner. Award may be made to as many bidders as deemed necessary to fulfill the anticipated requirements of the Owner. The Purchasing Agent also reserves the right to reject the bid if a Bidder is deemed to be a non-responsible Bidder.
