Description: New 6-Story School Building w/Rooftop Playyard Performance Period: 974 Continuous Calendar Days (See Page CC-3 and Appendix B) Liquidated Damages: Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day and as set forth in Construction Contract Page CC-3 and Appendix B SCA system-generated category: (not to be interpreted as a "bid range") $10,000,001 and Above A Bid Bond along with its Power Attorney prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check of the Bidder for five (5%) percent of the Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form (Appendix A) Bidders shall submit a LUMP SUM BID AMOUNT in the form attached as Appendix A to the Construction Contract to complete the project within the "Performance Period" under the conditions specified in the Contract Documents (as defined in the SCA's General Conditions dated October 11, 2022) inclusive of the Phasing Exhibit. The SCA has determined that the work under this solicitation involves HVAC, Plumbing and Gas Fitting and Electrical Work. All proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors must be prequalified by the SCA. However, said firm must not be "disqualified", "suspended", or "ineligible", at the time of Bid Opening. Therefore, the Bidder must include with its bid, and in accordance with the Information for Bidders Section, the names of all its proposed "Wicks" trade subcontractors and estimates for each of the trades listed in the previous sentence or your firm's bid will be deemed non-responsive. The Bidder must complete and submit with its bid the "Wicks" Subcontractor Request Form. (Appendix G). Only those bidders specifically selected by the SCA to submit a bid under the referenced solicitation will be eligible for a contract award under the same. Additionally, to be eligible for an award of the referenced work, the low responsive bidder must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the SCA during the bid evaluation period that it has successfully completed work on a similar project in terms of cost, scope and complexity. The SCA reserves the right to limit the number of "Project Specific" awards made to a Bidder. Pursuant to the SCA's authorizing legislation, contracts will only be awarded to contractors prequalified by the SCA. If the Bidder is not prequalified at the time of the bid opening its bid will not be accepted.
