The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Technical College Systems of Georgia (Using Agency or ''TCSG''), is seeking firms interested in providing Design Professional Services for a project known as Project No. TCSG-417 LAN Building-B Advanced Technology Renovation Forsyth County. Renovation of an existing building on the Forsyth campus to create a Center for Advanced Technology & Engineering. This will include the conversion of two existing lab spaces within Building B, a 25,000 square foot building, into a mechanical technology lab and an electrical technology lab. These spaces will be designed to serve the following programs: Engineering Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Mechatronics, and Industry 4.0. The scope of this project also includes one million dollars in funding for the high-tech equipment needed for these programs and a one hundred thousand dollar institutional match. The interior refresh will also include the existing student success center, and an exterior access control hardware upgrade to enhance campus safety. These proposed changes will result in the displacement of two existing academic spaces, and this project scope supports renovations that will allow relocation of those two classrooms. All remaining Building B interior finishes will be refreshed as part of this renovation. The delivery method for this Project will be Design-Bid-Build (DBB), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent, in addition to the services of a General Contractor.
