Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and swimming pool.
**As of August 27, 2024 bids received were rejected as they were over the budget.No definite date for the rebid .** Contract No. 24-PK1 (Re-Bid) - General Construction: The scope of work generally includes selective demolition; renovations to existing pool including concrete floor and wall repairs; construction of zero entry and ramp into pool; concrete walkway replacement; installation of 60 mil liner, gutter system, and various accessories/amenities; and all necessary appurtenances. There will be two separate contracts with and without zero entry and associated spray amenities. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. The project is being financed, in part, by the RAAC via a GEDTF Grant, and by CFA via a GTRP Grant. Bidder must agree to comply with all requirements associated with the grants. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442; Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause (41 CFR 60 -1.4); Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise); Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise); in compliance with Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program enacted July 1981, which sets forth goals of 13 percent Minority and 2 percent Female Business Enterprise; and the Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Bond Notes: The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Baldwin. Owner Rights: The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Contract No. 24-PK1 (Re-Bid) - General Construction: The scope of work generally includes selective demolition; renovations to existing pool including concrete floor and wall repairs; construction of zero entry and ramp into pool; concrete walkway replacement; installation of 60 mil liner, gutter system, and various accessories/amenities; and all necessary appurtenances. Contract No. 24-PK2 (Re-Bid) - Plumbing: The scope of work generally includes selective demolition of existing equipment and piping; installation of new pump and chemical feed system (supplied by others) and associated plumbing; and new supply and return lines for gutter system and spray amenities. There is an add alternate for a grinder pump lift station, forcemain and connection to existing manhole. Contract No. 24-PK3 (Re-Bid) - Electrical: The scope of work generally includes selective demolition of existing electrical; electrical supply and connections to new pumps, controllers and mechanical equipment; site lighting; 100AMP electrical panel. There is an alternate for electrical supply for grinder pump lift station. Contract No. 24-PK4 (Re-Bid) - Mechanical: The scope of work generally removal of existing pool heater and flue; installation of new pool heater (supplied by others) and flue including roof penetration; and all necessary appurtenances.
