Renovation of a mixed-use development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
As of August 21, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Contract No. 24-PK4 (Re-Bid) - Mechanical: The scope of work generally removal of existing pool heater and flue; installation of new pool heater (supplied by others) and flue including roof penetration; and all necessary appurtenances. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. The project is being financed, in part, by the RAAC via a GEDTF Grant, and by CFA via a GTRP Grant. Bidder must agree to comply with all requirements associated with the grants. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442; Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause (41 CFR 60 -1.4); Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise); Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise); in compliance with Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program enacted July 1981, which sets forth goals of 13 percent Minority and 2 percent Female Business Enterprise; and the Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Baldwin. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Contract No. 24-PK4 (Re-Bid) - Mechanical Construction: The Mechanical Contractor's limits of work generally include installing all HVAC related equipment/items in the Pool Equipment Building including replacement boiler and Court Storage Room/Chemical Feed Room exhaust fan. Scope of work generally includes, but not limited to the following: a. Attend pre-construction meeting with General, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors. General Contractor will present project schedule and coordination plans; all contractors shall review and General Contractor shall obtain signoffs from all Contractors. General Contractor shall act as prime contractor and run all coordination meetings throughout construction. b. Select Demolition of existing boiler, flue piping, gas, piping, etc. Select demolition of existing exhaust fan. c. Install replacement exhaust fan within existing "Court Storage Room/Chemical Feed Room" containing chlorinator d. Install pool heater (provided by Owner). Furnish proposed louvers/dampers as shown on Contract Documents. Coordinate installation of same with General Contractor. Incidental with heater installation, complete all modifications or repairs to the existing roofing system either incidental to removal of existing Pool Heater Flue or resulting from new Pool Heater Flue installation. Contractor to complete repairs of Firestone Membrane Roofing utilizing a licensed Firestone Licensed Applicator and reported to Firestone in accordance with the Owner's existing roof warranty. 5. Provide, install, wire, test and place in operation all major equipment and all appurtenances as specified and/or indicated on the Contract Drawings or as required for complete operable system in general accordance with the following
