Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Buchanan, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of July 10, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 23, 2024 Board meeting. The work consists of asphalt milling and paving and the installation of concrete curbs. Other related work shall include adjusting and repairing drainage structures and sanitary manhole structures, adjusting utility frames and covers to grade, preparing, restoring and cleaning the project area all in accordance with the plans and specifications as directed by the Engineer. Bids shall be made on the Proposal Forms, furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village, a certified cashier's check, drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Buchanan, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Buchanan as liquidated damages. Bid Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Village of Buchanan, 236 Tate Avenue, Buchanan, New York 10511 and endorsed Village of Buchanan Roadway Improvements Project 2024, Buchanan, New York. The Village of Buchanan reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
