The purpose of this project is to perform maintenance and upgrades to enhance the longevity, visibility, and safety of the airport for pilots and other stakeholders, in compliance with regulatory requirements. The scope of work includes tower maintenance, upgrade grounding system, supply, provision, install and commission of a new rotating beacon system. Key Requirements: Tower Maintenance-inspect, plume and true tower. Upgrade to ground system ring EIA/TIA 222-G standards including 40kva electrical surge suppression. Replace safety climb system. Remove rust, provide spray galvanizing, and spray paint the entire tower aviation orange. Provide and replace an FAA approved rotating beacon system at the top meeting or exceeding FAA L-802A specifications with FAA AC 150/5345-12F, SPECIFICATIONS FOR AIRPORT AND HELICOPTER BEACONS. Electrical work and wiring completed to NEC standards with BICSI wiring methods. Beacon Lights shall be LED. Spikes shall be provided to deter birds from landing on the beacon. Proposals should include detailed information on the proposed rotating beacon system, including detailed cut sheets, pricing, installation timeline, warranty terms, and any additional T&M services offered.
