Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Bernardino, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of August 15, 2024 this RFP has been discarded due to proposals received were considered non-responsive. The owner will repost at a later time and no definite date yet. The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SUPERINTENDENT) is seeking a qualified vendor (VENDOR) to provide and install an IP-based, centrally managed, and web-based accessible security camera system that provides coverage throughout the selected school site(s) or administrative location(s) owned and operated by the SUPERINTENDENT, located within San Bernardino County. No pre-bid qualification is required It is the sole responsibility of the VENDOR to deliver their proposal to the Brier Receptionist where it will be dated, and time-stamped. RFPs shall remain open, valid, and subject to acceptance anytime within ninety (90) days after the RFP opening date and time. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor at the time the bid pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and such license(s) shall remain in active and good standing for the duration of the contract. The bidder shall be licensed in one or more of the following: LICENSE CLASSIFICATION: CLASS C-7 - Low Voltage Systems Contractor Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. In accordance with the provision of Public Contract Code Section 20111, substitution of eligible and equivalent securities under this contract will be permitted at the request and expense of the Bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the Total Project Cost. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, a contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations in order to quote, bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or engage in the performance of any defined Public Works contract. The project is subject to all requirements pursuant to Labor Code sections 1720 through 1815. Accordingly, the payment of prevailing wages is mandatory - Proof of a valid Contractor/Specialty license, DIR Registration, worker's compensation, and liability insurance is required before any work begins. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract for public work unless currently registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR.
